Who is House of Representatives?

The House of Representatives is like a group of kids who help make rules for a big school.

Imagine your classroom has 50 different groups, and each group picks one kid to speak for them in the school's meetings. That’s kind of how the House of Representatives works, it’s made up of representatives from every state in the country.

Each state gets a number of representatives based on its population, just like how bigger classrooms might have more kids speaking for them. So if a state has a lot of people, it gets more representatives to help make decisions.

These representatives meet in a big room called the House, where they talk about new rules or changes to old ones, things like how much money should be spent on schools, or what happens when someone breaks a rule. They all vote together to decide if something is good or not, just like you and your friends vote on game choices during recess.

Sometimes, they work with another group called the Senate to help make laws for the whole country, it's like having two teams working together to plan the best playground ever!
