Who is Eightfold Path?

The Eightfold Path is like a special map that helps people live happy and balanced lives.

Imagine you're playing a game where you have to keep your toy car moving smoothly, too fast, and it crashes; too slow, and it gets stuck. The Eightfold Path gives you eight rules or tips to help you stay on track, just like how you might use the right amount of force to push your toy car.

How It Works

The path has eight parts:

  • Right View, seeing things clearly, like knowing when you're happy or sad.
  • Right Intention, wanting to be kind and helpful, not mean or grumpy.
  • Right Speech, talking nicely, not shouting or lying.
  • Right Action, doing good things, like sharing your toys.
  • Right Livelihood, choosing a job you enjoy, not one that makes you sad.
  • Right Effort, trying hard but not getting too tired.
  • Right Mindfulness, paying attention to what's happening around you.
  • Right Concentration, focusing on one thing at a time, like counting your breaths.

By following these eight rules, people can feel more calm and happy, just like how a smooth ride makes your toy car go faster.
