Who is Consumer Behavior?

Consumer Behavior is how people decide what to buy and why they choose one thing over another.

Imagine you're at a candy store, and there are two kinds of candy: red ones that look like fire and blue ones that look like the sky. You pick the blue ones because they remind you of your favorite toy, which is also blue. That’s consumer behavior, it's about why people choose things.

Why People Choose Things

Sometimes, people pick something because it looks good or smells nice. Maybe you see a cookie with chocolate chips and think, “That looks yummy!” So you buy it. Other times, they might pick something because it’s cheaper, or because their friend told them it’s the best.

What People Buy Matters

When we talk about consumer behavior, we're not just talking about what people buy, we’re also looking at how often they buy things and where they go to buy them. Like if you always get ice cream from your favorite shop, that's part of your consumer behavior too!

So next time you pick a snack or a toy, remember, you're being a consumer, and every choice you make is part of consumer behavior!
