Who is Aneurin Bevan?

Aneurin Bevan was a man who helped make healthcare free for many people in Britain.

Imagine you're playing on the playground and suddenly feel sick, you need help from a doctor, but your parents don't have enough money to pay for it. That's when Aneurin Bevan stepped in like a superhero! He created something called the National Health Service, or NHS, which means doctors, hospitals, and nurses could help people without them having to pay out of their own pockets.

Think about your school, everyone goes there whether they're rich or poor. Aneurin Bevan wanted healthcare to be like that playground. No matter how much money you have, you get the same care from doctors and hospitals.

He worked hard with other people in government to make sure this happened. It was a big change, like turning your whole school into a place where everyone gets free snacks and extra recess!

Because of him, today, millions of kids and grown-ups can see doctors without worrying about money. That’s pretty cool!
