Yosemite National Park is a huge, beautiful place in California that has really cool mountains, waterfalls, and trees.
Imagine you have a giant block of playdough. You squish it really hard and then pull it apart, that’s kind of what happened to the rocks in Yosemite. Over millions of years, big pieces of land were pushed up and pulled down, making tall mountains like the ones you see when you look at a big pile of blocks stacked high.
One of the coolest things about Yosemite is El Capitan, which is like a giant rock wall that stands straight up. Climbers go up it like they're climbing a really tall ladder, but with just their hands and feet!
Yosemite also has waterfalls that are like giant water slides. The most famous one is Yosemite Falls, which is so high, it’s like going down a slide from the top of a building to the ground.
What makes Yosemite special is that it has everything, big rocks, tall trees, and lots of water, all in one place, just waiting for you to explore!
