Where did the oh my god particle come from?

The oh my god particle is a super fast and super energetic piece of space stuff that came from really far away.

Imagine you're playing with a toy car on the floor. You push it gently, and it rolls slowly to the other side of the room. Now imagine instead you threw that car like a rocket, it would zoom across the room super fast! The oh my god particle is kind of like that toy car, but way more powerful.

It came from a place called a quasar, which is like a giant, bright light in space made by a hungry black hole. When things get eaten by a black hole, they can sometimes send out super fast particles, it's like the black hole is sneezing!

These particles travel through space for billions of years, and finally, one day, scientists saw this oh my god particle zooming past Earth. It was so powerful that when they saw it, they said, “Oh my god!”, hence the name!
