What was the cause and impact of the Industrial Revolution?

The Industrial Revolution was when factories started making things faster and more efficiently than ever before.

Imagine you're helping your grandma make cookies in her kitchen, she uses a wooden spoon to mix the dough, one by one. Now imagine a giant bakery with machines that roll out the dough, cut it into shapes, and even bake them all at once. That’s what happened during the Industrial Revolution! People used new tools like steam engines, which worked like big, powerful fans powered by boiling water.

How It Began

Before the Industrial Revolution, most people made things by hand in small homes or shops, it was like working in a tiny kitchen. But then factories came along and used machines to make clothes, toys, and even shoes much faster. This meant more goods for everyone, but also longer hours at work.

What It Changed

Because factories needed many workers, towns grew bigger, and people moved from the countryside to cities, it was like a big搬家 (move) for whole neighborhoods! People had more money to buy things, and new jobs were created. But working in factories could be tough, sometimes you'd work 12 hours a day, standing near loud machines.

So, the Industrial Revolution changed how we live, work, and even play, it was like turning one small kitchen into a whole restaurant!
