What makes something lightweight?
Think about your favorite backpack or a soft blanket. If it's lightweight, it means it doesn’t feel heavy on your back or in your arms, kind of like how a feather feels when you hold it up. Materials like cotton, silk, or even some kinds of plastic can be lightweight because they don’t have much weight packed into them.
What makes something breathable?
Now imagine wearing a shirt that’s really hot and sticky on a sunny day, it doesn’t let air move through it very well. But if you wear a shirt made of cotton or another soft fabric, your skin feels cool and comfortable. That's because the material is breathable, like having tiny windows that let air come in and out, helping your body stay cool.
So when something is both lightweight and breathable, it’s like wearing a soft, cool feather on your back, easy to carry and perfect for hot days!
