Imagine your brain has two halves, like a sandwich. The left side helps you think about numbers and words, while the right side helps with pictures and feelings. Some people use one half more than the other, that’s why they’re called ‘left-brained’ or ‘right-brained.’
How Brains Work Together
Even though we talk about left and right brains, both sides work together all the time. It’s like a team: some people are better at certain tasks because one side of their brain is stronger.
Examples
- If you love solving math problems, your left brain might be stronger. If you're good at drawing pictures, your right brain could be the hero.
- Some people are better at reading maps, that’s a sign their right brain is working hard.
- When you tell jokes or make up stories, it's often your right brain having fun.
