Your body is like a car engine that must stay cool. When the outside air gets super hot, your body tries hard to keep you safe. It works by sweating, which is nature’s air conditioner.
How Sweat Works
Think of your skin as a radiator. When you sweat, the water on your skin turns into gas (we call this evaporation). This process takes heat away from your body, just like a wet towel cools your forehead. But if the air is already hot and humid, the sweat stays wet. It cannot turn into gas easily. Your internal "engine" starts to overheat.
Why It Gets Dangerous
When your body cannot cool down, your temperature rises too high. This is called hyperthermia. Your heart has to beat faster to pump blood to your skin to help cool you down. If this goes on too long, your organs can get stressed. It is like leaving a car engine running in a closed garage without any fresh air.
