Shadows change size based on where the light is coming from. Imagine you're outside in the sun. When the sun is high up, your shadow is small. But when it's low, like in the morning or evening, your shadow gets longer, almost like it’s stretching! This happens because light comes in different angles depending on the time of day.
Examples
- In the morning, when the sun is low, your shadow stretches out behind you like a long tail.
- If you stand between two lamps at night, your shadow can be in two different places at once!
