Imagine you're playing with a flashlight and your hand. When the light hits your hand, it blocks some of the light from reaching the wall, and that's how shadows are made! A shadow appears because something is in between the light source and where the light goes. If there’s no light, there can’t be a shadow.
Examples
- A person walking in front of a lamp creates a moving shadow on the wall.
