Some languages sound exotic because they use sounds we don’t hear in our own language. Imagine you're used to hearing b and d, but then you hear a click or a growl instead, that’s what makes it feel new and exciting! Like how your friend might say, ‘I heard a language with chickens in it!’ It feels magical because the sounds are different.
Examples
- A language uses growls instead of 'g' sounds, it feels like a dragon is speaking!
- You hear someone say ‘ketchup’ but they say it like ‘ketch-up’, it’s a new way to speak!
