What Makes a ‘Good’ Leader vs. a ‘Great’ Follower?

A good leader is like a helpful teacher, and a great follower is like a curious student who asks questions and helps others learn too.

Imagine you're playing a game with your friends. A good leader is someone who knows the rules and explains them clearly so everyone can play. They might say, “Okay, let’s start here,” and help people understand what to do next.

But a great follower isn’t just listening, they’re watching, thinking, and sometimes even helping others learn too. Like when you're playing tag, and someone is running fast but gets tired. A great follower might slow down to make sure the person who’s tired can catch their breath or help them find the best way back.

Sometimes a great follower becomes a good leader, just like how a student who asks a lot of questions might one day be the one explaining the rules to others. They don’t need to know everything right away; they just care about helping everyone have fun and learn together.
