Your brain uses two main parts to help you think and feel things every day.
Imagine your brain is like a superhero team, and there are two main members on that team: one is the "thinking hero," and the other is the "feeling hero."
The Thinking Hero
The Feeling Hero
The feeling hero lives in the middle of your brain, and it helps you feel happy, sad, excited, or scared. It's like having a friend who tells you when something is fun or when something makes you want to hide under the covers.
These two heroes work together all day long, sometimes they agree on what to do, and sometimes one gets more attention than the other. But both are super important for being you!
Examples
