What is word-of-mouth?

Word-of-mouth is when people tell others about something they like, just like telling a friend about your favorite toy.

Imagine you have a super cool toy that makes noise and lights up. You show it to your best friend, and they get really excited. Then they tell their brother about it, and he wants one too. Soon, everyone in the class is talking about this amazing toy, all because people shared what they liked with others.

How It Works

When someone likes a book, game, or even candy, they might say something like, "This is the best!" to their friend. That friend then tries it out and also loves it. Now they tell another friend, and so on, just like a chain of happy messages.

Why It's Cool

Word-of-mouth doesn’t need any special tools or magic; it’s just people sharing what they love with others. And when lots of people do that, it can feel like the whole world is excited about something new!
