What is weakness?

Weakness is when something can’t do as much as it usually does because it’s not at its best.

Imagine you have a toy car that zooms around your room like a race car. But one day, the battery runs low, the car still moves, but it goes slower and doesn’t make it all the way to the end of the hallway. That’s weakness, it's not broken, just not as strong or powerful as it normally is.

What Causes Weakness?

Sometimes, weakness happens because something has been used a lot. Like your favorite crayon, after you color for hours, it gets thinner and doesn’t make as dark of a line. Your crayon still works, but it's weaker than before.

Other times, weakness comes from not getting enough rest or nourishment. Think about how you feel when you're sleepy, you can't run as fast or jump as high. That’s your body showing weakness, just like the toy car or the crayon.

Weakness is like a temporary pause in something's power, it still works, but not at full speed!
