War is when groups of people fight each other to win something important.
Imagine you and your best friend both want to be the leader of a big game. You don’t just ask nicely, you challenge each other, and maybe even take turns making rules or picking teams. That’s like war, it's when two sides try to beat each other so they can have what they want.
What War Looks Like
In war, people might use things like sticks, rocks, or even toys as weapons. Sometimes, whole groups of friends join in, and it becomes a big battle. One side might shout "We're going to win!" while the other says "No way, we’re stronger!"
Why People Go to War
People go to war because they want something that belongs to someone else, like a toy, a place, or even a crown. It's not always about being mean; it’s sometimes about who gets what, just like when you and your friend both want the last cookie.
Sometimes after the fighting stops, people talk and share, maybe even split the cookie in half! That’s how wars can end, too.
