What is walking?

Walking is when you move from one place to another by taking steps with your feet.

Imagine you're playing a game where you hop from one stone to another in a stream. Each time you jump on a new stone, that’s like taking a step. When you do this again and again, it feels smooth, just like when you walk!

How Your Body Works

Your legs are like strong springs. When you push off the ground with your foot, your leg stretches and then snaps back, helping you move forward. It's like when you jump on a trampoline, you go up, and then you come down again.

Why We Walk

We walk to get from one place to another, just like how you use your hands to grab your favorite toy. You might walk to the park, to school, or even just to get a glass of water. It's a simple way to move that doesn’t need any extra tools, just your body and some steps!
