What is voltage?

Voltage is like the push that makes electricity move through wires, just like a push makes a toy car zoom across the floor.

Imagine you have two buckets of water. One bucket is full, and the other is empty. If you connect them with a hose, the water will flow from the full bucket to the empty one. The more full the first bucket is, the stronger the push, that’s like voltage!
