What is volatile?

Volatile means something changes quickly and can be hard to keep track of.

Imagine you have a favorite toy box. Most days, it stays the same, your toys are all inside, nice and tidy. But volatile is like when your little brother runs in, throws all the toys out, and then runs back out again. The next minute, everything is chaos! You never know what’s going to happen from one moment to the next.

Like a Stormy Day

Sometimes, volatile is like having a stormy day. One minute it's sunny, and the next, it's raining hard. You can't really plan your playtime because you don’t know if the sky will stay blue or turn grey again soon.

A Volatile Friend

Imagine you have a friend who loves to switch between being super quiet and super loud, sometimes in the same sentence! That’s volatile too. It's fun, but it can be tricky to keep up with.

So, volatile means things change quickly and often, like your toy box after your brother plays with it!
