Violence is when someone pushes another person hard or hurts them on purpose.
Imagine you're playing with your favorite toy car. You're happy, driving it around the room. But suddenly, your friend grabs the car and smashes it into a wall, just because they wanted to make you sad. That’s violence, using force to hurt someone else.
What makes violence happen?
Sometimes, people feel angry or upset, and that anger turns into pushing, shouting, or even hitting. It's like when you're really mad at your brother for taking your snack, and you accidentally knock him over.
Violence can be loud or quiet
Violence doesn’t always have to be big or loud. Sometimes it’s just a mean look, or someone pulling your hair gently but on purpose, like when the bus driver gives you a tiny poke if they’re in a bad mood.
Violence is about how people treat each other, and sometimes that treatment can feel really rough, just like when your favorite ice cream falls on the floor!
