The USSR was like a big team of countries working together under one roof.
Imagine you're playing a game with your friends, and everyone agrees on the rules, who gets to pick the next game, how points are counted, what happens if someone breaks the rules. That’s kind of what happened in the USSR (which stands for Union of Soviet Socialist Republics). It was like one big country made up of many smaller countries, all sharing ideas, leaders, and even some money.
Like a Family Living Together
Think of the USSR as a big family, there were many members: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and others. They all lived in the same house (the USSR), followed the same rules (like how they ran their schools and factories), and helped each other out.
But just like some families might decide to move out later on, some of these countries eventually left the USSR, kind of like when you finish your snack and go off to play with another friend.
