What is upset?

"Upset is when something changes suddenly because you or someone else moves it."

Imagine you have a tower made of blocks. You carefully stack them one on top of the other. They're all neat and tidy, just like your toys after you clean up. But then, bam!, someone knocks into the tower, and all the blocks fall down. That’s being upset! It’s like when your ice cream falls on the ground, it was fine, but now it's messy.

What makes things upset?

Sometimes, things are strong and steady, like a big chair. But if you push it too hard, or someone trips near it, splat!, it moves, and everything around it gets mixed up. That’s being upset too!

Think of your favorite toy, maybe a ball. If you roll it fast, it might hit another toy and make it move. That’s upset in action.

Upset is just like when something changes because it got moved or bumped, and that can be fun to watch!
