What is unpopular?

What is unpopular? It’s something most people don’t want or like right now.

Imagine you’re at a party and everyone is eating cookies. But you bring a plate of broccoli, and no one wants to eat it. That broccoli is unpopular, it’s not what the group likes at that moment.

• Most people don’t like it: Like how some kids prefer candy over vegetables.
• It doesn’t fit in with what everyone else is doing: If all your friends are playing tag, and you want to sit and read a book, reading might feel unpopular at that moment.

Sometimes things become popular again. Maybe someone shows how good broccoli can taste if you add cheese, then it becomes the favorite snack!

So unpopular is just something not many people like right now, but that doesn’t mean it can't be loved later!
