What is tri?

Tri is when you have three things together, just like having three toys in your hand.

Imagine you're playing with blocks. If you stack three blocks on top of each other, that’s a tri-stack! It's not just any stack, it's special because it has exactly three parts. You could also think about tri like the three wheels on a tricycle: one for the front, and two for the back.

When you say "tri," you're talking about something that has three of something else. Like your three favorite snacks, or the three people playing tag with you at recess. Every time you see or count three things together, you're seeing a tri!

Tri is just a fun and fancy way to say “three things working together,” like when you put on your shoes, socks, and tights, that’s tri in action!
