What is transport?

Transport is moving things or people from one place to another, just like how you move from your bedroom to the kitchen.

Imagine you have a toy car, and you want it to go from your table to your couch. You push it, that’s transport! It's the same idea when we move bigger things, like cars, buses, or even people in airplanes.

• When you ride your bike to school, you're using transport.
• When a delivery truck brings your favorite snack from the store to your house, that’s also transport.
• Even when you walk to the park, you are moving yourself, that's transport, too!

Sometimes we use fast ways, like cars or planes. Other times, we take slower ones, like walking or riding a bike.
