Transition from one year to another is like moving from one birthday party to the next, it’s when we say goodbye to one year and welcome a new one.
Years are like big groups of days, 365 of them, usually. When those days end, we start counting again with 1, and that's how we know a new year has begun!
Imagine you have a calendar that looks like a giant clock. Every time the last day of a year passes, it’s like the hands of the clock move to the next number, poof, now it's a brand-new year! You might even hear people cheer or sing a song called "Happy New Year!", it’s their way of celebrating the change.
Just like how you get bigger every birthday, years help us keep track of time as we grow and have more adventures. So when one year ends and another starts, it's just a friendly switch, no magic, just a little celebration!
