What is transactional?

Transactional means something happens step by step, and if one part doesn’t work, everything stops, like when you’re building a tower with blocks.

Imagine you're at the store with your piggy bank. You want to buy a toy. First, you take out some coins. Then you give them to the shopkeeper. Finally, you get the toy. That’s transactional, each step needs to happen in order for you to end up happy with your new toy.

Like a dance between two friends

Think of it like a game where two friends are passing a ball back and forth. If one friend drops the ball, the game stops until they pick it up again. That’s how transactional works, everything has to go smoothly for the whole thing to finish.

What happens if something goes wrong?

If you took out your coins but the shopkeeper didn’t give you the toy, you’d probably ask for them back. That’s like a "rollback", going back to where things started so nothing is lost. That’s how transactional keeps everything fair and safe!
