What is tired?

Tired is when your body and brain need rest after working hard.

Imagine you're playing with your favorite toy, maybe a ball or a train set. You run around, jump, and laugh for a long time. After a while, you feel slower, and it's harder to keep going. That’s what tired feels like in your body.

What Tired Feels Like

When you’re tired, you might:

  • Yawn a lot
  • Need to sit down or lie down
  • Feel sleepy
  • Not want to play as much anymore

It’s like when your toy battery runs out, it stops working well until you plug it in again. Your body needs a break, just like the toy needs power.

Why We Get Tired

Your brain and muscles work hard all day. When they’re done, they need time to recover. That’s why after a long day at school or playing outside, you feel tired, your body is telling you it's time to rest!
