What is three?

Three is when you have one, and then you add another one, and then you add another one, so that makes three things in total.

Like Counting Apples

Imagine you're at the market with your friend, and you both see a basket of apples. You pick one apple, your friend picks another one, and then there's a third apple left. That’s three apples, just like when we count things in our lives.

Like Clapping Hands

When you clap hands, you can do it once, twice, or even three times! If you clap once, that’s one clap. Then another clap makes two. A third clap makes three claps altogether.

You see three things every day, like your three favorite toys, or the three steps you take to get from the couch to the kitchen. Three is just a number we use when we have one, then one more, and one more after that.
