What is the Skull?

The Skull is like a hard, bony box that protects something very important inside your head.

Imagine your brain is like a soft, squishy cookie inside a strong, crunchy cookie jar, the skull is that jar. It’s made of bones, and it surrounds your brain so it doesn’t get bumped around too much when you run, jump, or fall down.

How the Skull Works

  • The skull has different parts, like a helmet with many pieces, that fit together to make a strong, protective cover.
  • When you hit your head on the floor, the skull takes most of the bump so your brain doesn’t get hurt too much.
  • Inside the skull, your brain can move just a little bit, kind of like how jelly moves inside a jar when you shake it.

Your skull is one of the reasons you can play rough and still feel okay, it’s like having a super-strong shield around your thoughts!
