Time zones help people know the time in different parts of the world. Imagine the Earth is like a big clock, and each place gets its own piece of the clock. If we didn’t have time zones, it would be confusing when you talk to someone far away because they might think it’s morning even though it's night where you are.
Why We Need Time Zones
Without time zones, everything would feel out of sync. For example, if you were in New York and called your friend in London at 10 a. m., they might be just waking up for breakfast, while you're already having lunch.
