We’re building space shuttles and training people to travel back to the Moon and even go all the way to Mars.
Imagine you're playing a game where you start in your living room, then walk outside, then cross the street, and finally reach the park. Going to the Moon is like walking across the street, it's not too far. But going to Mars is more like walking to another city, it takes longer, but it’s still doable.
How we get there
First, we need space shuttles, which are like really fast cars that can travel through space instead of on roads. These shuttles will carry astronauts who have trained a lot, just like how you practice before a big game.
We’ll start by visiting the Moon again, it's our first stop after Earth. Once we get good at going to the Moon, we'll use what we learn to go even farther, all the way to Mars!
What we need to do
- Build space shuttles that can take people far away.
- Train astronauts like they're training for a big race.
- Practice traveling back and forth from Earth to the Moon first.
Then, one day, we’ll travel to Mars just like you go from your house to school, step by step, with lots of fun along the way!
Examples
- A group of astronauts are going back to the Moon, and then they’ll go all the way to Mars.
- Kids imagine building a spaceship that will take them to the Moon and then to Mars.
- The Moon is like a training ground before humans head off to Mars.
