What Makes a Pandemic?
How It Spreads
Think of germs like little tiny bugs that can jump from one person to another, when you cough or sneeze, they ride on air and go into other people's noses or mouths. If lots of people get sick at the same time, it can feel like the whole world is under a bug storm.
Sometimes, people don’t know about these bugs at first, so they keep going to school, work, and the mall, helping the bugs travel even faster! That’s why we might need masks or hand sanitizer, just like a superhero shield against the bug storm.
