What is the history of Denny's restaurants?

Denny’s is like a friendly neighbor who has been serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner to people for many years.

Long ago, in 1958, Denny's started as one little restaurant, just like the small toy store you visit on weekends. It was run by two brothers named Joe and Ken Denny, who wanted to make sure everyone could eat a big, warm meal no matter what time of day it was.

As more people loved the food and the friendly service, Denny’s opened more restaurants, like how your family grows bigger when you get new cousins. Today, there are hundreds of Denny's all over the world, just like how your neighborhood has many different stores and places to play.
