What is the history and geography of Mexico?

Mexico is like a big, colorful puzzle piece that sits on the edge of North America and right next to the United States.

Mexico has been around for thousands of years, way before your grandparents were even born! It started with people who lived in ancient cities, like Teotihuacan and Toltec, who built amazing pyramids and had cool traditions. Then came the Aztecs, who ruled from a big city called Tenochtitlán, which was so impressive it even made explorers like Cortés say, “Whoa!”

Mexico has lots of different places, some are high up in the mountains, others are down by the sea. It’s like having a giant toy box with everything from deserts to forests. The Gulf of Mexico is like a big bathtub that fills up parts of the country, and the Pacific Ocean is right there too, giving Mexico some awesome beaches.

People in Mexico love to celebrate, they have fiestas all year round! They also have delicious food like tacos and chocolate. And just like you might have cousins who live in different parts of the country, people in Mexico come from many different groups, each with their own stories and traditions.
