Asteroids and comets are both space rocks, but they act like different kinds of people. Asteroids are more like tough, silent rockstars, solid and not easy to move. Comets are like shiny, glowing dancers who twirl with a tail when they get close to the Sun. When comets go near the Sun, ice inside them turns into gas and dust, creating that glowing tail we see in the sky.
Examples
- Asteroids are found mostly between Mars and Jupiter, but comets come from far away in our solar system.
- Comets glow with a tail as they pass by the Sun, but asteroids just stay solid.
