Comets are like cosmic snowballs, and meteors are like sky fireworks. A comet is made of ice, dust, and rock, kind of like a big, icy ball that travels through space. When it gets close to the Sun, it starts to melt and makes a glowing tail. On the other hand, meteors are pieces of rocks or ice from comets (or asteroids) that fall into Earth’s atmosphere. They burn up as they go fast, making bright streaks in the sky we call shooting stars.
