The cost of weed per gram is how much you pay for each tiny piece of the plant, like buying candy by the piece instead of the whole bag.
Imagine you have a big bag of your favorite gummy bears, and someone asks you, “How much does one gummy bear cost?” That’s similar to asking about the cost per gram of weed. Instead of knowing how much the whole bag costs, you want to know what each little part is worth.
How it works
When people buy weed, they usually get it in a bigger amount, like a small bag or an entire jar. If that whole bag costs $20 and has 10 grams inside, then the cost per gram would be $20 divided by 10, which is $2. So each tiny piece of weed is like a gummy bear in your big bag, you know how much the whole thing cost, but now you can figure out what one little part costs.
Sometimes people buy more or less, and that changes the price per gram too, just like if you bought only 5 grams for $20, each tiny piece would be a bit more expensive.
Examples
- A kid buys a bag of weed for $10, which is about 2 grams. That means each gram costs around $5.
