What is terminology?

Terminology is the special names we use for things in certain groups or subjects.

Imagine you're playing with your toys and you decide to make a club called The Super Robot Fighters. In this club, every robot has a special name, like "Blaster-Bot" or "Speedy-Snail." These are the terms of your club. When you talk about your club, you use those special names so everyone knows what you're talking about.

Why We Use Terminology

When you're in school and learning about math, you have terms like addition, subtraction, and multiplication. These are like the special names for your robot fighters, they help you understand what’s going on without getting confused.

Or think of a restaurant. When you go there, everyone knows that burger is food made with bread and meat, and fries are the salty sticks you eat with it. Those are terms from the world of eating.

So terminology helps us all talk about things in the same way, like having secret codes for your club or your favorite restaurant!
