What is temporary?

Temporary means something that doesn’t last forever, it comes and goes, like a snack you eat at recess.

Imagine you have your favorite juice box. You open it, take a big sip, and enjoy the sweet taste. But eventually, you finish all the juice, and the box is empty. That’s temporary, the juice was there for a while, but not forever.

Think of a playground swing. When you’re on it, it moves back and forth, and you feel like you're flying. But when you get off, the swing stops. The fun of swinging is temporary, it only lasts as long as you're on the swing.

Sometimes your favorite toy is out on the floor, and you play with it all day. But then it gets put away in a box, and you don’t see it again until tomorrow. That’s also temporary, the toy was with you for a while, but not always.
