What is technology?

Technology is tools and ideas we use to make life easier or more fun.

Imagine you're building a tower with blocks. If you only have one block at a time, it takes forever. But if you get a bigger block, like a step stool, you can reach higher in no time! That's kind of how technology works: it gives us new tools to do things faster or better.

How Technology Helps Us

Tools are the most common type of technology. A spoon is a tool that helps you eat soup, and a bike is a tool that helps you go places quickly. Just like a step stool makes building towers easier, technology gives us new ways to do old things, or even new things we never thought of before.

Sometimes, a simple idea can be a big piece of technology. For example, think about a light switch: it's just a button that turns the lights on and off. But without it, you'd have to find your way in the dark every time!

Technology isn’t always high-tech, sometimes it’s as simple as a pencil or a clock. It's all about making life easier, one step at a time!
