What is taller? means we're comparing two things to see which one reaches higher up.
Imagine you and your friend are both standing on the floor in a room. If you're wearing a hat, and your friend isn’t, then you are taller because your head goes higher than theirs.
Now think of two buildings, like a tall tree and a short bush. The tree is taller because it reaches up to the sky, while the bush doesn't go as high.
You can also use blocks or toys from your playtime to compare. Stack some blocks on one side and fewer on the other. The pile with more blocks is taller, just like how a bigger tower in a game goes higher than a small one.
Why it matters
When you know what's taller, you can decide who gets to reach the top shelf first or which toy looks biggest from the ground up!
