Symbiosis is when two living things live together and help each other out, kind of like best friends who both get to enjoy their friendship.
What It Looks Like
Imagine you have a backpack, and inside it are your favorite toys. Now imagine another kid has a backpack too, and they also have cool stuff in theirs. If you could share your toys with them, and they could share theirs with you, that would be symbiosis, both of you get more fun things to play with!
A Real-Life Example
Think about bees and flowers. Bees go from flower to flower collecting nectar to make honey. When they do this, some of the pollen from one flower sticks to their legs. Then when they fly to another flower, that pollen gets dropped off, helping the flower make more flowers! The bee gets food, and the flower gets to have babies. That’s symbiosis in action.
It’s like sharing snacks at lunchtime, everyone ends up happier! Symbiosis is when two living things live together and help each other out, kind of like best friends who both get to enjoy their friendship.
Examples
- A clownfish lives safely inside an anemone, and the anemone gets food from the clownfish.
