What makes something supercharged?
Sometimes, things need extra help to work better. Think of your favorite snack, maybe a cookie. If the cookie is already sweet, but you add extra chocolate chips, it becomes supercharged with even more sweetness.
Or picture a bike. A regular bike moves fine, but if you add stronger wheels and a bigger kick, it goes much faster, that’s being supercharged too!
Being supercharged is like getting an extra boost so you can do something really well or go really fast, just like your toy car with that big push!
Examples
- A supercharged car goes faster because it gets more air into the engine, like giving the engine a bigger breath.
- A turbocharger helps a plane fly higher by pushing more air into the engine.
- Supercharging is like giving your body an extra energy drink before a big race.
