What is streamer?

A streamer is someone who broadcasts their computer screen to the internet so you can watch them play games or chat in real time, just like watching a friend’s live TV show at home.

Think of it like having a window into your favorite gamer's room. When they move their mouse on their PC, you see that same movement happen instantly on your phone or tablet. It is not a pre-recorded video where the fun has already happened; everything happening right now is live.

Imagine you are sitting next to someone playing Minecraft. You can see what they see. If they find a diamond, they yell "Yes!" and everyone watching hears them at the exact same second. This makes you feel like you are together with them, not just watching alone in the dark.

You can also talk back! As the viewer, you type messages in a chat box on the side of the screen. The streamer reads your comments aloud and might even say your name. This creates a huge digital community where hundreds or thousands of people hang out together, laughing and cheering at the same time.

Most people know streamers as gamers, but they do other things too:

1. They play video games like Fortnite or Roblox.
2. They talk about their day while eating dinner on camera.
3. They sing songs or draw pictures for fans to see.

So, if you see someone playing on a big screen with their face in the corner and words scrolling by like rain, that is a streamer connecting with you live.
