What is statue?

A statue is like a special kind of picture that you can touch and move around, it’s a person or thing made out of materials like stone, metal, or clay.

What Does a Statue Look Like?

Imagine your favorite toy, maybe a dinosaur or a superhero. Now imagine that toy was made really big, like the size of a grown-up, and instead of being plastic, it was made from something hard, like rock. That’s almost like a statue!

How Do Statues Stay Up?

Statues don’t move by themselves, they’re held up by a special place called a base, just like how your toy sits on the floor. Sometimes, people put statues in parks or near buildings so everyone can see and admire them.

You might have seen a statue before without knowing it! Maybe there’s one of a famous person outside your school or in a museum, that’s a statue too!
