Standardization is when everyone agrees on how to do things so everything works together smoothly.
Imagine you and your friends are building a big Lego castle. If each person used different kinds of bricks, some with square ends, others with round ones, the castle would look messy and might even fall apart. But if all of you agreed on what each brick looks like, it's much easier to build something strong and beautiful.
Standardization is like that agreement. It’s when people decide on common rules or sizes so things can connect or work together without confusion.
Why Standardization Matters
Think about your favorite snack, maybe a chocolate bar. If every brand made their bars different sizes, it would be hard to know how much you’re getting. But because there's standardization, most chocolate bars are the same size and shape, so you can compare them easily.
Standardization is everywhere: in toys, in books, even in how we measure things like time or distance. It helps make life easier and more fun, just like your Lego castle!
