What is Spread of information?

The spread of information is how news or ideas move from one person to many others, like a game of telephone but much faster.

Imagine you have a secret message written on a piece of paper. You tell your best friend, and now two people know the secret. Then your friend tells their best friend, now four people know! This is how information spreads, one person tells another, and soon everyone knows.

Like a Ripple in Water

Think about when you drop a pebble into a pond. The water ripples outwards, touching more and more of the pond. That’s like how information spreads too, it starts with one person, then goes to others, and before long, it reaches many people all around.

From Whisper to Shout

Sometimes information is shared quietly, like a whisper, that's when only a few people know. But when more people start sharing the same message, it becomes louder, like a shout! That’s how information spreads through friends, family, and even the whole class or school.
